Re: can u make oil out of a purple passion flower?
Mon, December 8, 2008 - 10:03 AMThe main problem with most flower scents is that thy are not made by essential oils, so you have to try and get this scent into another oil, best experieces i made with coconut oil, you make it liquide and fillit into a bowl....while it is soft you slightly press several of the flowers i it.....leave them for some houres and then remove them and press new ones in......repeat this process so long untill you thint that all the scent is in the coconut oil. then melt it and fill it n a bottle....this is not an essential but an aromatic oil!
but with most blossoms it doesnt work because the scenta toms are to small and in tooooo smal amounts in the plant1
have fun

Re: can u make oil out of a purple passion flower?
Mon, December 8, 2008 - 12:24 PMI believe the scent matieral of passion flower is too fugitive to extracted through the process that are available. If there is a scent for it, it is a bouquet (which is in a sense, a combination of other oils mixed to approximate its smell) or is a fragrance oil created in a labratory -
